Senseless Vandalism

If only we had laws like Singapore.

I know this picture is a little fuzzy so let me explain.  You are looking at what is left of three trees that line the parking lot at my children’s school.

Last week was spring break for my children.   The stumps you see were full trees the Friday before spring break started.  What happened?  Were they diseased?  Were they infested with bugs?  All questions we asked as we pulled up Monday morning for the first day back from spring break.

Later yesterday afternoon as we are driving home after picking the kids up from school, I am still curious about the trees.  I ask my son Adrian what the deal is and he replies, "Yeah, someone cut the trees and burned our slide."  I say, "What? Do you mean like vandalism?"  He says, "Yeah, they burned our slide with some kind of plastic."

So, it turns out that someone cut the trees and burned the slide on the playground with a blow torch.  Who the f*** does shit like this?  What does this prove or what was the motivation behind something so senseless? Does this make them cool or tough?  Are others going to be impressed?  Does it send a message like,  "You mess with us and we will cut down your trees, bitches!!!"  Give me a freakin’ break!  What happened to just spray painting shit with stupid gang signs.

Anyone remember Michael P. Fay?  He was the kid that got caned in Singapore for vandalism.  I bet that Michael doesn’t even think about vandalizing anything anymore.  Maybe we should find and cane these idiots.  Hell, even the tree huggers can agree with me on this one.
